Course Information:

This is the way the entire course is laid out.  It is separated into units (called Parts) and each unit corresponds to several chapters in your book.  For each unit (or part) I will provide you with a checklist for you to use to keep up with the assignments that you have completed in the course.  I recommend that you print the checklist and place it in the front of a folder so that you can check off your completed work as you go.

Generally, for each unit you will:

bullet

Print the checklist so that you will have a copy of the assignments.

bullet

Print the calendar so that you will know when your assignments and tests are due.

bullet

Complete and submit "Daily Grade" assignments and "Quizzes" and "Bulletin Board" assignments that correspond to be assignments on your checklist.

bullet

Make appointments in the testing center to take your tests. This means you will have to come on campus around six times for testing.

bullet

MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ THE SYLLABUS BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR COURSEWORK!

Grading:

To arrive at your average, the following weights are given to assignments:

bullet

30% major assignments and comprehension tests

bullet

20% vocabulary tests

bullet

15% Daily work

bullet

10% PowerPoint quizzes and bulletin board assignments

bullet

25% Final Exam
