- The faculty of Kilgore College are encouraged to use the Randolph C.
Watson Library themselves and to encourage their students to make use
of the library.

Faculty may check out materials for an entire semester. Items may be renewed between the Fall and Spring semesters. Checked out materials must be returned at the end of the Spring semester. Faculty are not charged fines, but are responsible for lost item fees if materials are not
returned to the library.

Available to all patrons in good standing at their participating home library.

Books and periodical articles are available
for borrowing from other libraries. Faculty may use the InterLibrary Loan
service in their research and study.

The Library Advisory Committee meets at least twice a year to make recommendations
for library services, coordinate collection development for all disciplines,
promote library services, and disseminate information regarding library
services. Contact your faculty representative or library liaison if you
have questions about library services and/or purchasing requests.

Faculty may schedule a time when their students can come to the library and be given library orientation and/or instruction. The Library also
offers "a la carte" instruction on Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons for
those students who need further instruction.

New faculty, adjunct faculty, part-time staff, and full-time staff members are encouraged to register at the library to enable access to the
online databases from home/off-campus. Registered users may also check out books and review
their library account online.

Faculty are encouraged to request items in their discipline for the library. Faculty are a part of the selection process of materials for the
library.

Faculty may place items on reserve in the library. Reserve is for a limited time. Reserve items may be used in-library only or checked out.
