Academic Search Premier - Provides full text for more than 3,460 scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.

CQ Researcher - Explores a single "hot" issue in the news in depth each week. Topics range from social and teen issues to environment, health, education and science and technology.

InfoTrac Newspapers - Search newspapers from in the United States for full-text articles. Cover-to-cover coverage of the Austin-American Statesman from 1996, El Paso Times, Houston Chronicle from 1996, New York Times, Washington Post from 1996, The Financial Times from 1996 and The Times (London) since 1997.

netLibrary - Contains more than 18,000 titles covering most subject areas, with many titles in the areas of literature, business, history, health/medicine, sociology, science, philosophy, computer science, and education.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center – Provides information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full text magazine and newspaper articles.

The White House - Contains links to current issues, including Social Security.

U. S. Department of State - Official website for the State Department, which is headed by the Secretary of State.

Books and Journals

Books may be found using the library's online catalog. In the library, you business and economic books can be found according to their classification numbers. Books that have "Ref." in the LC system, or "R" in the Dewey system, before the call number are in the Reference section of the library (on the First floor). If you need help ask any of the librarians, technical staff or student assistant to assist you.

Library of Congress (LC) classification for Social Security is HD; Secretary of State: E; Foreign Policy: JZ, JX. Books on these topics may also be found in other classification areas.

Online full-text journals are available. These journals are arranged by title.

Also the library subscribes to periodicals in paper copy or microfiche. They are shelved or filed in alphabetical order according to title.
