REMINDER ABOUT TRAINING MANDATES:

TCLEOSE Rule 217.11(f) now requires that “a peace officer first licensed on or after January 1, 2011, must complete a basic training program on the trafficking of persons within one year of licensure.” If you were licensed on or after 01/01/2011, and you have not yet taken a Human Trafficking course, YOU MUST DO SO WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF LICENSURE!

Additionally, Rule 217.11(e) requires all new dispatchers to complete the 2120 Crisis Communications Course and the 1013 Basic Telecommunications Certification Course within 12 months of his or her first day of employment.

The hotels below are listed in alphabetical order. If you're interested in having any special rates for ETPA students listed for your hotel, please contact Michael Ferguson.

The COMFORT SUITES hotel in Kilgore (903.984.2385; 1210 Hwy. 259 North) has agreed to rent rooms to ETPA adjunct instructors and ETPA students for $64.95 per night, provided that you notify hotel staff that you're affiliated with ETPA. The Comfort Suites hotel is located approximately one mile north of the police academy's main classroom location.

The HAMPTON INN OF KILGORE has agreed to provide rooms at a rate of $60 per night for participants in any ETPA course. If you're interested in taking advantage of this discounted price, please make sure to notify the reservations clerk and the front desk clerk of the fact that you're attending one of our classes. Note that this is lower than the standard government rate. If you wish to take advantage of this discounted rate, please make sure to tell the clerk that you're taking one of ETPA's classes.
