What is a QEP? 
A QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) is a document prepared for SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) reaffirmation that focuses on a well-defined issue (QEP Topic) directly related to improving student learning.

How will the QEP benefit students?
As we carry out the Kilgore College mission, the QEP will be interwoven into our ongoing planning and evaluation process to address the question: How can our policies and processes lead to higher levels of student learning?

Guidelines for selecting a QEP Topic:

• Produces student learning outcomes which can be measured
• Supports the college's mission and strategic goals
• Involves college stakeholders to address areas for institutional improvement
• Enables ongoing quality enhancement with clear, actionable goals
• Enables effective evaluation methods and strategies
• Uses available institutional resources
